Join Maui's most fun, safe, and experienced bike touring company for the mid-morning ride of your life down the slopes of the world's largest dormant volcano! Nowhere else on earth can you experience the thrill of traveling over 26 miles while descending 7,000 feet. Bicycling down the volcano is the Valley Isle's most popular land activity tour and a "must-do" of all Maui's tours and activities.
The Haleakala bike adventure begins above the clouds where you'll take in awe-inspiring views from just over mid-way up the volcano. You will then receive a safety orientation and bike/gear fitting to get you ready to roll down the planet's grandest coaster through over 200 twists and turns and countless visual wonders. A hot beverage and granola bar will be offered to get the blood pumping before you begin your descent. There are many stops along the way to view and photograph the incredible scenery, and learn about Haleakala's history and lore. A stop will be made at a local cafe where you can purchase a snack or a whole meal.
Throughout the journey, riders are in the capable, safety-minded hands of professionally trained tour guides.
Please Note: For your safety, each departure features speedometers on the bikes of cruise leaders (allowing them to regulate group speed), highly visible outerwear, and motorcycle helmets and gloves for guests to prevent injuries. This tour does not visit Haleakala National Park or the Haleakala crater.

Mr. Miller is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Abercrombie & Kent, the World's leading luxury travel company. In that role, Mr. Miller was responsible for contributing to Abercrombie & Kent's international growth through the development and acquisition of tour products and travel experiences around the world with a specific focus on cruising and land based experiences. Prior to joining Abercrombie & Kent, Mr. Miller held a variety of executive positions with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises for more than a decade. These positions included Vice President of Guest Sales & Service, Vice President of Brand Development, and Vice President of Onboard Revenue (which included shore excursions). Mr. Miller also led Celebrity Expeditions, a collection of outstanding and unique tours around the World.
Michael Bonner
Mr. Bonner has over a decade of experience working in the cruise industry in a variety of roles for both Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Viking River Cruises. Most recently, Mr. Bonner was the Chief Operating Officer for The Scholar Ship, a Royal Caribbean program aimed at providing college students onboard educational programs in conjunction with enriching shore excursions around the world. Mr. Bonner also helped co-manage Viking River Cruises U.S. Operations, and he ran the corporate, strategic, and deployment planning functions at Royal Caribbean. While at Royal Caribbean, Mr. Bonner was responsible for forming Royal Celebrity Tours, Royal Caribbean's land-based tour operation in Alaska, which takes cruise passengers on multiple day tours through the interior of Alaska either before or after their cruises.
