Calling all nature lovers! Embark on a scenic hike, hand feed tropical parrots, and chill under the tropical sun at Great Bay Beach.
The fun begins at South Reward, the island's inner paradise, where you will participate in a 1-hour hike from the Dutch to the French side of the island. Your guide will share the history of the area and the paths you take as you watch out for land turtles and iguanas hiding in plain sight. Be sure to bring your camera for incredible photos! This breathtaking hike is suitable for all ages and those with low-to-average activity levels. There is a peaceful resting area at the bottom for those guests who wish to wait on the hikers while indulging in a cool beverage.
From there you will take a short ride to Parrot Ville Bird Park and Sanctuary, a hidden gem that is not advertised but has its share of visitors due to word of mouth. Get up close and personal with the birds as you learn about them and their natural habitat. Then it's your turn to hand feed the birds and get a photo with you and your new feathered friends during this guided tour.
Upon arrival at Great Bay Beach you will be greeted with a tropical drink as you lounge on your chair and work on your tan. Take a refreshing swim in the crystal blue waters, try your hand at sandcastles, or enjoy a relaxing stroll on the boardwalk while drinking in the experience. We recommend wearing Swimming suits with outer coverings, sunscreen (biodegradable) and sunglasses, rubber soled shoes suggested and bringing a towel is required
Restrictions
Buses are not wheelchair accessible. Folding walkers are approved as long as guest can be mobile on their own, please advise in advance . Guests must be able to walk and complete slight decline and incline and to be comfortable swimming. Guests should be able to walk on their own and light climbing for the hike, but they can skip the hike if they wish.

Mr. Miller is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Abercrombie & Kent, the World's leading luxury travel company. In that role, Mr. Miller was responsible for contributing to Abercrombie & Kent's international growth through the development and acquisition of tour products and travel experiences around the world with a specific focus on cruising and land based experiences. Prior to joining Abercrombie & Kent, Mr. Miller held a variety of executive positions with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises for more than a decade. These positions included Vice President of Guest Sales & Service, Vice President of Brand Development, and Vice President of Onboard Revenue (which included shore excursions). Mr. Miller also led Celebrity Expeditions, a collection of outstanding and unique tours around the World.
Michael Bonner
Mr. Bonner has over a decade of experience working in the cruise industry in a variety of roles for both Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Viking River Cruises. Most recently, Mr. Bonner was the Chief Operating Officer for The Scholar Ship, a Royal Caribbean program aimed at providing college students onboard educational programs in conjunction with enriching shore excursions around the world. Mr. Bonner also helped co-manage Viking River Cruises U.S. Operations, and he ran the corporate, strategic, and deployment planning functions at Royal Caribbean. While at Royal Caribbean, Mr. Bonner was responsible for forming Royal Celebrity Tours, Royal Caribbean's land-based tour operation in Alaska, which takes cruise passengers on multiple day tours through the interior of Alaska either before or after their cruises.
