Village Of Njegusi

Day Trip, Group Tour

Escape the crowds with this half-day tour to the quaint village of Njegusi. Get a peek at traditional Montenegro life, complete with a delicious wine and prosciutto tasting.

Village of Njegusi

Located on the slopes of Mount Lovcen, Njegusi is best known for its links to the Petrovic dynasty and its well-preserved traditional folk architecture. Meet your local, knowledgeable driver and expert guides at the port and take the panoramic road around Boka Bay with 25 serpentine curves, offering stunning views at every turn. Along the way your driver will make stops for amazing photo opportunities from high atop the mountain above Kotor, and tell you about the places you can see from this birds-eye view of the city.

Once in Njegusi, you will visit a family house where the host will greet you with a tasting of national products including smoked prosciutto- the best in Montenegro! Bite into fresh cheese and enjoy some homemade wine and rakija, or local brandy.

Your host will show you the dryer where the meats are smoked, as well as the distillery machines. Throughout the tour your guide will share fascinating facts about the traditional lifestyle, along with the historical importance of this city.

This small group tour of Njegusi is an intimate and perfect way to be introduced to and enjoy the beautiful Montenegro countryside. Book now!
